Specializing in Korean barbecue, Mirak elevates each meal with an impressive selection of premium meats and traditional dishes, served in a welcoming and spacious atmosphere perfect for family gatherings and friendly get-togethers.
The star of the menu is undoubtedly the Korean barbecue, featuring a wide array of options like tender Pork Belly and Bulgogi, flavorful Beef Bulgogi, and the ever-popular Hang Jung Sal. Diners who crave variety will appreciate the Special Combo or the more modest Small Combo, offering a curated selection of mixed grilled meats that grill sizzling hot at your table. Each cut is carefully selected — whether it’s the marinated or non-marinated kalbi, succulent beef rib meat, or the adventurous beef tongue and intestines — ensuring every bite is tender, juicy, and rich with authentic Korean flavor.
Beyond barbecue, Mirak serves up an enticing lineup of classic Korean dishes that provide depth and comfort. The Small Octopus & Beef Intestine Hotpot and the hearty dolsot bibimbap 돌솥비빔밥 offer bold, savory notes packed with fresh ingredients. Soul-warming soups like Kimchi Soup and Usda Prime Beef Brisket Soybean Paste Soup bring traditional flavors to the forefront, while crunchy and crispy items such as the well-loved Seafood Pancake and 군만두 Fried Dumplings provide the perfect balance of textures. Guests can also indulge in various Korean side dishes, or banchan, which receive praise for their freshness and variety—perfect for nibbling between mouthfuls of grilled meat.
Mirak’s beverage selection beautifully complements its food offerings. From classic Korean staples like Soju and Fruit Soju to Korean rice wines like Makkoli, the drinks list is thoughtfully curated. For those preferring non-alcoholic options, unique choices like the refreshing Sikhye Slushy and delicate Iced Dalgona Latte provide a creative respite to balance the smoky richness of the barbecue.
What truly sets Mirak apart is its atmosphere and service. Customers regularly emphasize the staff’s attentiveness and friendly demeanor, creating a warm environment that welcomes all. For example, one diner shared how the team quickly remade a seafood pancake that was not up to standard, demonstrating genuine care for customer satisfaction. Another visitor appreciated not only the delicious meat but also the thoughtful guidance from their server on how to enjoy the barbecue authentically, turning each meal into a cultural experience.
The dining space itself is roomy and accommodating, inviting large groups and families to relax and share in the communal joy of Korean BBQ. The combination of quality ingredients, reasonable pricing, and attentive customer care makes Mirak a standout in the Federal Way culinary scene. Whether you’re craving tender kalbi, spicy pork dishes like Jaeyook Bokum, or rich hotpots, Mirak Korean BBQ Restaurant delivers an authentically flavorful journey that will leave you planning your next visit before you’ve even finished.
The price is affordable, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. We ordered a seafood pancake, but it was kinda burnt, so we asked if they can remake the pancake for us and they did. We are really appreciated the care that they gave to the customers.
This place is the best all you can eat kbbq place in town. Our server is very friendly and offered to help us cut the pork belly. The meat quality is visibly much better than other more expensive places. Most importantly, you cannot beat the price! I would definitely come back and bring my friends here again.
They are affordable and their food taste good! But they need to improve their service. Their servers either are just not there when you need them or they don't understand what you're saying and you don't understand if they understood what you're asking.
Great food and hostess very friendly and gave us lots of recommendations on the order to eat the meat, dipping sauces, and how to eat "Korean style". Price was very reasonable and the meat was delicious. Also lots of different yummy Korean side dishes too. Would definitely come again!
First time coming here with the family. We had a large party and they were able to accommodate. The seating was very roomy for all of us. We ordered kalbi, brisket, pork belly and beef bulgogi. All was delicious. The banchans were so good, def loved the cucumber kimchi. The waitress we had so funny and sweet! She made sure we ordered the best dishes. Initially I asked for the marinades chicken and she was like no, it will take too long to cook, I’ll get you the brisket instead haha. It was a really good choice too! Highly recommended! We will definitely be back!
Mirak KBBQ was my side quest for the day. Federal Way has several KBBQ spots, and Mirak is definitely worth trying for all you can eat. What stood out most was the meat quality. Unlike other places that bring out frozen meat, they served brisket and pork belly either thawed or freshly cut, which tasted noticeably better. The kalbi had great flavor that really penetrated the meat. They don’t offer a huge variety of meats, but it's a case of quality over quantity. The banchan (side dishes) were all solid. Service was great, especially considering how busy it was and from what I saw, all the servers were kind Korean aunties you'd want in your life. Give this place a try!
